Gatti House is situated next to the Adelphi Theatre on The Strand in London. Recently converted into four luxurious appointed apartments, the mission was to celebrate the ornate style of the building and its history in a way that also recognises that the new inhabitants have 21st century needs.
The New York loft style of the top floor apartment terrace needed to be harmonious with the interior design, as well as look good all year round and be low maintenance. The internal courtyard and light well travels up four floors. A tall living wall has created a living green artwork on a grand scale that is viewed from all apartments and introduces wonderful textures and a new dimension to an otherwise restricted space.
