Our clients wanted a pretty garden with different spaces for children to play and adults to relax and entertain. They wanted to hide the odd shape of the garden and maximise the sunshine as it is north-facing. The house had undergone significant renovation in a classic contemporary style and the garden needed to embody the styling.
The concept for the garden was influenced by the client’s farming background. The layout was inspired by crop circles and resulted in a series of interlinked paved circles to create spaces for different purposes. They also dealt with the awkward shape of the garden. Planting wise, herbs and vegetables were grown within a wonderful mix of grasses, perennials and shrubs to ensure the garden provides for the family in a multitude of ways.
